FREE SCREENING
A screening is a preliminary assessment conducted to determine if a child may benefit from occupational therapy services. This brief assessment checks for challenges related to motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and daily living activities. The screening helps identify areas of concern and whether a full, comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation is needed.
EVALUATION
Pediatric occupational therapists conduct various evaluations to better understand a child's needs, including developmental, sensory processing, motor skills, cognitive, social-emotional, self-care, feeding, handwriting, and play skills assessments. These evaluations inform personalized intervention plans for each child.
ADOS-2
(Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition) is a tool used to observe and understand a child's play, social and communication skills by watching how they interact, communicate, and play. RISE offers this evaluation to help gain valuable insights into a child's development. While ADOS-2 itself does not diagnose autism, it contributes important information that helps in understanding the child’s needs comprehensively.
